Where is Highline?

Note: this map is just a placeholder until we can find a better one
The geographical area served by the Highline Historical Society is Highline, an area extending on the north from the Seattle city limits, to the south almost to the Federal Way city limits, and from the east (roughly) by I-5 to the west to the shores of Puget Sound. The region encompasses a population of approximately 200,000 people that live in unincorporated King County and the cities of Burien, SeaTac, Normandy Park and portions of Des Moines. This is the largest population in the state of Washington that is not served by a local history museum. The Highline area has a student population of 24,000…of which more than 50% qualify for the subsidized government free lunch program… and speak more than 70 languages.
